About Tina

An award-winning educator of 33 years and award-winning author, Tina Shepardson has dedicated her life to inspiring young minds through books, storytelling, and connection. She is the author of Walkout, The Sorry Seeds—a 2025 Children’s Book Council Teacher Favorite—and Canines Unleashed: Hank’s New Pack, as well as the founder and host of The Lil’ Leaders Podcast: Conversations with Kids, celebrating the everyday actions and experiences that help children become leaders. Tina loves school visits because nothing compares to the energy of a room full of kids sharing ideas, asking questions, and discovering the magic of storytelling together. Having spent much of her life in schools, she brings that experience full circle by creating interactive, engaging experiences that encourage children to connect, dream big, and believe in themselves.

What educators say

“Tina Shepardson delivers the topic of apologies in a way that is both meaningful and accessible to children. I especially appreciated how she set clear expectations at the beginning and made the presentation highly interactive—asking thoughtful questions and keeping the kids engaged throughout. Her preparation was outstanding, taking the time to share her presentation in advance to ensure it aligned with our needs. The Apology Song was a hit! It provided a fun, memorable ending that tied the whole presentation together perfectly. Our students loved it!”
