About Laura
Laura Bower is the author of THE IMPOSTER (2024) and EMILY SNOOK, THE WORLD’S SMALLEST COOK (2024) by Gnome Road Publishing as well as the forthcoming HAIL THE TAIL (Feb. 2027) and CHEERS FOR EARS (FALL 2027) with Beach Lane Books/S&S. She is also a teacher at a local preschool. The kids she teaches as well as her own three children are constant sources of inspiration for her stories. Doing school visits is one of Laura's favorite things she gets to do as an author. She loves connecting with kids, sharing her passion for reading and writing and hearing their thoughts, perspectives and questions!

Visit formats
What a visit includes
A typical in person visit includes a 45-60 minute presentation that includes a read aloud, a presentation on the writing process/parts of a picture book, interactive elements, questions, and signings (if not done beforehand). I do assemblies as well as individual half-hour classroom presentations/read-alouds (I can do multiple classroom presentations/read-alouds in one afternoon.
