About Kathryn

Kathryn Holmes is the author of multiple books including the middle-grade novel The Thirteenth Circle (coauthored with MarcyKate Connolly) and the Class Critters chapter book series. Her school presentations dig deep into the creative process: how stories grow from an idea into a finished book. She always includes an interactive storytelling/writing activity that gets students inspired and empowered to create. A graduate of The New School's MFA in Creative Writing program, Kathryn also works as a creative-writing teacher for kids and a freelance dance journalist. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.
