What educators say

“Thanks for visiting St. Mark's. I am more than happy to recommend you and your programs to all. We played The Adaptation Game and the boys really liked the cards—it was a huge hit!”

— K. Montgomery, Librarian, St. Mark’s School of Texas

“Your presentation got rave reviews! Students were engaged and we were thrilled with the depth of questions they were asking…teachers commented how the visuals clarified and supported the presentation.”

— Amy Sprung, Librarian, Belmont Day School

“Elizabeth, you were AMAZING with the students at Stratford STEM and JT Moore. I heard from the librarians at USN that you were equally fabulous there! Story time was great, too! Thank you for these wonderful visits. I'm so glad you came to Nashville and we look forward to seeing you again.”

— Rae Ann Parker, Director of Books and Events for Young Readers, Parnassus Books

What a visit includes

I tailor my programs to the individual school and grade levels. My books appeal to ages 5 to 15, and I'm happy to provide multiple programs during a visit. Typical groups range from a single classroom to a gymnasium full of wonderful kids. I present a slideshow featuring the book that I'm discussing, but with lots of back-and-forth questions and interactions. Author programs for my newest book, Dinosaurs to Dragons, include interactive presentations and/or workshops using a free, multi-subject Teacher Guide that engages kids with creative activities and fosters literacy and critical thinking.
