About Carrie

As an early childhood educator and nonfiction author for young readers, I have deep respect for children’s natural curiosity and the ways they make sense of their big, wide world. I build on that curiosity as a visitor in their learning community and invite students into my work as an author, sharing how I research, think, and make craft decisions. Most importantly, I want them to leave our time together knowing their questions and ideas are valuable. I see you, educators and librarians, and I’ll work hard to support your literacy goals.
