About Camille
Hi, I’m Camille Taylor, a children’s author and the creator of CamTay Corner. I’m the author of Shy Kai’s First Day of School, a story inspired by those nervous feelings children can have when they’re facing something new. I love creating stories that help children feel seen, encouraged, and comfortable being themselves. Through CamTay Corner, I bring those stories to life through author visits, interactive storytimes, activities, and conversations that encourage children to talk about their feelings, build confidence, and discover that being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t nervous. I enjoy connecting with children, schools, libraries, and educators and creating experiences where children can have fun, participate, and connect with a story in their own way. My hope is that every child leaves feeling a little more confident and knowing that even one small step can be a brave.
