About Brenda
Brenda Maier is a children’s author, gifted education specialist, and mother of five who lives in Northeastern Oklahoma with her family. Brenda believes school visits empower and inspire students to realize their own potential. Her hobbies include tricking kids into thinking for themselves, reading way past her bedtime, and dragging her husband and kids to places they’ve never been, whether they want to go or not.

What a visit includes
Each full-day visit includes up to 4 presentations, which vary in length based on the audience grade; they range from about 20 minutes for PK to 50 minutes for 5th grade. Grades can be combined if needed so that all students can be included. For a local visit within 50 miles, the honorarium is all you pay. As needed, out-of-area visits will include expenses such as hotel, travel, & meals. Please check out my website for video interviews. As a teacher-author, I keep my rates low, and I strive to be educational, positive, and inspirational.
